Mobility requirements Bachelor / Undergraduate

Student mobility is aimed at regular students with a good GPA. Its regulatory framework is defined in the Guidelines for regulating undergraduate Student Mobility at UNAM and in the Undergraduate Student Mobility Program of the School of Engineering (available in the Regulations section), as well as in the calls for institutional programs in which UNAM undergraduate students can participate.

In order to carry out student mobility, our students must comply with the following requirements:

Minimum GPA of 8.5

Or the one indicated on the call or program, in case it is higher than the one indicated here.

Minimum credit advancement of 50%*

* School of Engineering internal requirement for semester mobility.

For participation in calls for non-semester stays (short stays, research, methods, etc.), the minimum will be 44% of credit advancement.
No minimum number of credits applies for participation in academic forums.
Being a regular student (UNAM's definition):

- Not having failing grades in academic transcript: "5" or "NP".
- -To have the credit advancement corresponding to your plan of studies according to your entrance generation.
Note: temporary suspension of studies does not make you irregular, since the suspension period is not counted as elapsed semester(s).

Definition and clarifications about regularity

Accredit a language certification:

For host institutions in non-Spanish speaking countries and/or when classes are taught in a language other than Spanish:

- English certification: exclusively TOEFL iBT scoring 80 or IELTS 6.5 overall, or the level/score indicated by the host institution if higher (overall and/or in a specific skill).
- Other languages: B2 level official certification or equivalent.

Certification must be submitted at the time of application, no later than the closing date of the corresponding call for applications.
If the host institution requests a higher score overall or in any of the individual bands, certification at that level must be submitted.
If the host institution requests a lower level than the one requested by UNAM, you must still meet UNAM's minimum level requirement.

Make sure you have your certification well in advance of the closing date of the call for applications in which you are interested in participating. See recommendations in the initial section of departing mobility.

Other certifications are also accepted for other types of non-semester mobility, as well as proof of language level (except for transcripts or proof of courses taken). The level and type of certification and/or proofs admitted will depend on each call and/or the host institution. For the English language, they must have been issued no more than two years ago.
